That being said, I now spend lots of time thinking about scrap-booking, and not a whole lot of time actually doing it. It's been a few years since I've been able to devote any kind of real time to record-keeping, and this blog has replaced a number of albums I could've worked on over the span of Cham's and Tee's lives. However, a few hours with some friends, going over old photos and trying to remember events, got me thinking that there really is no replacement for a good, old-fashioned memory book.
The good thing is that Cham & Tee are actually pretty even in this respect-- I don't have albums made for either of them! (This is when you all cluck your tongues at me and say, "baaaad mommy.") I've made calendars and brag books for the grandparents, but I haven't made any of my own for either kid, so at least there's equality in the neglect.
It's a daunting prospect, trying to catch up to 4 1/2 years and 11 months of photos, stories, antics, and firsts. I imagine it'll be a long road, but the fun for me has always been in the creating. The best part is when you're sitting around with a bunch of other people, sifting through paper, stickers, photos and tape, trying to piece together a memory. The act of scrap-booking is a memory in itself, and I miss the simple exchanges with the (mostly) women I enjoyed sharing this hobby with.
Now, for some pictures that are entirely unrelated to this post (but are cute, and therefore must be included):
